Lahti Loses His Stack To Nguyen

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
William Lahti

From across the room, a loud horrible reaction was heard. Players were up out of their seats to look at the board and see what had happened. When I approached, William Lahti, chip leader at the start of Day 2, was out of his seat staring at the table. "Hey William. What happened?" I was unaware that Lahti had been in the hand.

"I lost! Kings vs Aces! It's unbelievable!"

The Board was all low cards. {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Long Nguyen: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
William Lahti: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Nguyen had Lahti covered and Lahti finished the day in 37th place for a $1,650 payday.

Kvaal Turns The Full House

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kent Kvaal
Kent Kvaal

Action folded to Drake Roetker in the UTG+1 position. Roetker made it 30,000 and got a pretty quick flat from Kent Kvaal on his direct left. Players folded around to Tuan Le in the big blind, who decided to call.

Flop: {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Le checked his action to Roetker, who continued for 45,000. Kvaal quickly called and Le folded.

Turn: {5-Clubs}

Both players checked and the {3-Hearts} came on the river to complete the flush draw.

Roetker checked his option and Kvaal tossed out four blue chips for a bet of 100,000. Roetker tanked for a good minute or so before sighing and making the call.

Kvaal: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Roetker saw the full house of Kvaal and shook his head as his cards went into the muck.
