Artur Gaynanov Eliminated in 13th Place ($5,900)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Artur Gaynanov was extremely short for a very long period of time, but he did make it to the last 13 players. That would be the end of it though, he has just been eliminated.

It was again Dmitriy Grishin doing the dirty work. The current chip leader had {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, while Artur Gaynanov had {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. With the {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on the flop, Gaynanov was looking for a seven from heaven to save him. It didn't come' {9-Hearts} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river.

Khoreshenin Folds After Five Betting

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Dmitriy Grishin opened for 32,000 under the gun, and Oleksii Khoroshenin made it 77,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Grishin who four bet to 130,000. Khoroshenin thought for a little bit, before clicking it back to 190,000 with 342,000 behind. Grishin checked his stack, stared at Khoroshenin's stack, and announced all in. Khoroshenin folded after three seconds.

Jorn Walthaus Eliminated in 14th Place ($5,900)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jorn Walthaus
Jorn Walthaus

Jorn Walthaus got all of his chips in the middle holding {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. His opponent was Viacheslav Igin who showed up with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

The board didn't bring Walthaus any help: {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Jorn got silently up from his chair, shook hands with Thomas Kremser, and walked over to the pay out desk to receive $5,900.

Vyacheslav Stoyanov Eliminated in 15th Place ($5,900)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Vyacheslav Stoyanov was extremely short stacked after that last hand, and got the remainder of his chips in not much later. He had {J-Spades}{10-Spades} and got two calls from players both having {A-}{K-}.

The players with ace king would split the pot after a {9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} board. Stoyanov's flopped open ended never filled up, and he was on his way to the pay out desk before we knew it.

Khoroshenin Doubles

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Oleksii Khoroshenin
Oleksii Khoroshenin

Oleksii Khoroshenin didn't have the best level before the break, losing small pots left and right. He just lost a bit bigger one to Mustafa Biz, and was left with 231,000.

He shoved that stack forward from middle position, and after some thinking it was Vyacheslav Stoyanov who reshoved from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and it was time for yet another showdown.

Vyacheslav Stoyanov: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Oleksii Khoroshenin: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop was good for the EPT Vienna winner as it displayed a king: {K-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank, and so was the {3-Spades} on the river.

Some more breathing room for Khoroshenin, while Stoyanov is now extremely short stacked.

Viacheslav Igin opened for 25,000 from middle position, and Jorn Walthaus made it 63,000 to go from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, Igin made the call.

Igin check called another 61,000 on {Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and both players checked the {A-Hearts} on the turn. Walthaus reluctantly folded as Igin bet 125,000 after the river paired the board again with the {Q-Clubs}.

Walthaus in trouble now, Igin's stack is looking good.

Srda Milovic Eliminated in 16th Place ($4,700)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Igor Ovcharenko is Running Hot
Igor Ovcharenko is Running Hot

Maksym Panyak opened for 25,000 from early position, and Igor Ovcharenko three bet to 60,000 in middle position. Srda Milovic in the big blind shoved all in for 297,000 and Panyak quickly folded. Ovcharenko asked for a count, and eventually made the call.

Milovic knew he was in trouble with his {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, you could see the look his face change as soon as he heard the word 'call'. Ovcharenko tabled {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and flopped perfect: {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

By the time the {Q-Hearts} hit the turn, Milovic was already out of his chair and on his way out of the tournament room. The {3-Hearts} didn't change a thing, and Ovcharenko started stacking his chips again.
