Only Two More Starting Flights to Go
Three more days of Lex Live 2 craziness to go in and around the Aspers Casino until a winner is crowned in the £230 Main Event. There are only two more starting flights left on the schedule and both of them will take place today. The first starting flight will kick-off at noon local time and the second one, a turbo flight, starts at 6 p.m. local time. A lot of players are expected to make an appearance with the hopes of still making it to Day 2.
It looks like Hasan Gul is still leading the pack after he bagged a massive 595,500 on Day 1d of the tournament. He will start Day 2 with over 100 big blinds as the big blind will be 5,000 on the second day of the tournament.
Day 1g will have cards in the air at noon local time and will follow the usual recipe. There are fourteen 30-minute levels and there will be a total of three breaks to bag at about 8 p.m. later today. The turbo flight, however, will feature levels of 20 minutes and they will be done right before midnight.
At that moment we will know the total number of entries that were made and if they reached the big £100,000 guarantee that was put on the Main Event. The previous version of Lex Live in Namur got over 1,000 players but Lex Veldhuis told PokerNews earlier this week that it's not about the number of entries for him. It's about bringing the community together and that is exactly what he does here.
Expect plenty of people to show up late with late registration possible for the first eight levels of the tournament. Players are allowed to do a maximum of two reentries so there are six entries left to be made. The reason people will show up late is not the usual one. Veldhuis went to the cinema around the corner of Aspers Casino and bought up all the tickets to the new Joker movie. He actually got a group together at 10 a.m. local time at the cinema and some will jump in the Main Event after the movie is over at 3 p.m.
Make sure to keep an eye on PokerNews as live coverage will be provided of Day 1g. Chip counts of Day 1h will follow when they're made available.
