Pimenta Shoves, All Fold
Level 21
: 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Caio Pimenta was down to just a few big blinds and moved all in from the hijack seat for 38,000. Action folded to Ioannis Beris in the big blind and he said something that sounded as though he said "call" but he never put any chips in. Pimenta heard this and tabled the . Beris pleaded with the dealer that he didn't say anything and the dealer gave Beris the option of what to do. Beris elected to fold and Pimenta's short shove went uncalled.
After the hand, the tournament director came over to warn the players about waiting for the dealer to instruct them to expose their hands. The reason no penalty was given was because both Pimenta and a couple others at the table said they thought they heard Beris announce a call.
