Gallo Clucks in Defeat
Lisandro Gallo is becoming a familiar face around the LAPT Circuit, racking up three cashes and a final table appearance over the course of the last four seasons. He's here in São Paulo this week looking for LAPT cash number four.
It's been a rough start for the Argentinian today, though, and we just watched him drop a sizable pot. We only caught up with the closing actions on the board in time to see Gallo pay off a river bet of 3,500. At showdown, he turned up , but his pair was second--best the whole way. His opponent's started in front and only improved from there. The full house takes care of nearly half of Gallo's stack, dropping him down to 11,800. After the hand, half the table became involved in a frenzied conversation about what had just happened. Our Spanish is rusty, but the Gallo was essentially commenting on dodging a potential tournament-ending clash before the flop.
