Somehow, some way, the 2011 PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour Peru Main Event has made it through the biggest weekend in the history of online poker to Day 4 and the final table. It hasn't been easy, but now only eight players are left in contention for the top prize of $207,000.
Leading the way, as he has on every single day of this tournament, is Colombian Daniel Ospina. Ospina hit a rough patch towards the end of the day yesterday when native daughter Samar Hodali doubled through his kings with ace-queen, then took out 10th-place finisher Mayu Roca to almost take over the chip lead.
But Hodali didn't quite overtake Ospina, and so far the third day in a row Ospina starts as the chip leader. He'll have just north of 50 big blinds when play resumes with 35 minutes left in Level 24. It's not much, but it's far better than almost any other player.
