Mathis move on the turn
Marty Mathis continued his revitalisation with a shove that puts him up to 24,000 - quite possibly the first time he’s been over his starting stack all day.
The American had started the action off with a min-raise from early position before picking up a small raise and call behind him. Mathis made the call before leading the flop for 3,400 into a 5k pot. It was enough to fold out the three-bettor but not enough to flick away the local grinder who made the call. A on the turn brought an ugly gutshot and Mathis shoved his remaining 11,175 into the middle and scooped the pot unopposed. He told us afterwards that he had flopped top two.
