Welcome to the LAPT Florianopolis Final Table!
It's been an exciting few days of poker leading up until the final day of the PokerStars.net LAPT Florianopolis Main Event. Sadly though, the event must come to a close today as we head down the home stretch to crown a champion. Only eight players remain and all are guaranteed at least $18,476, but only one of them will snatch up the $247,441 first-place prize.
Headlining the final table is Matthias Habernig. The young Austrian qualified for this event online at PokerStars and is making the most of his trip. He was the chip leader after Day 1 and now holds nearly half the chips in play going into the final table. Habernig has 3,205,000 chips while no other player is over 814,000. Habernig will also have position on Andre Luiz Scaff, who sits to his immediate right and in second place on the leaderboard. It seems as though the stars have aligned for Habernig to finish out what he started and win this thing.
Here's a look at the seating assignments and chip counts.
Seat 1: Alexandre Richard Martins – 435,000
Seat 2: Dayan Vardanega – 761,000

Play is slated to begin at noon here in Brazil, but as always with final tables, it's going to start a little bit behind schedule. The players are still finishing up their interviews and photos before they head in to take their seats and begin play. Stay tuned as PokerNews will be on hand to provide you all the live coverage from the final table!
