Kings vs. Kings

Our first all-in-and-call situation of the day which happened moments ago resulted in a chop.

Darren Keyes opened the pot with a raise from middle position, making it 58,000 to go. Action then folded around the table to Rogelio Pardo in the big blind who kicked it up to 218,000. Keyes hesitated for no more than a minute before announcing all in. Pardo snap-called the bet and both players smiled when they saw each other's cards:

Pardo: {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Keyes: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Though a chop in this situation is the overwhelming favorite, it wouldn't be poker without the mandatory sweat.

Surely Keyes' heartbeat sped up a few BPM as the board filled out {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} by the turn, but the {A-Spades} on the river cemented a chop.

Bergren is up to 1.42 million and Giron dropped to 311,000.

First Action

Usually it takes a little bit for the players to warm up and get into the groove. Action folded to Rogelio Pardo on the button and he raised to 50,000. Carlos Giron was the only caller from the small blind.

The flop came down {8-Spades} {4-Hearts} {2-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was checked as well after the {9-Spades} hit the felt. After the river came the {9-Clubs}, Giron bet 25,000. Pardo folded, allowing Giron to take the pot. Giron showed the {9-Hearts}.
