Gomes Pays a Fee

We pick up the action on the flop in a heads-up contest between big stack Ryan Fee and PokerStars pro Alexandre Gomes. The board shows {3-Clubs}

On said flop, Fee leads out with a bet of 3,250. Gomes goes into the tank for a few moments before raising to 9,200. Fee calls.

. Fee again passes, prompting Gomes to take another little session in the tank. Finally, he counts out a bet of 12,600, sliding it neatly into the middle of the table. That brings Fee to a pause, and he asks for Gomes' remaining count while he ponders. "Maybe twenty-five," says the pro.
