Updated Chip Counts

After the first break, here's how the chips are spread out:

Jose Miguel Espinar - 1,350,000
Lisandro Gallo - 775,000
Alexandre Gomes - 621,000
Alex Brenes - 490,000
Gylbert Drolet - 227,000

Lisandro Gallo

Alex Brenes has the button in Seat 7.

Under the gun, Lisandro Gallo limps in, and both blinds -- Alexandre Gomes and Jose Miguel Espinar -- come along to the flop.

It brings {10-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. Alexandre Gomes bets out 26,000. Espinar folds, and Gallo raises to 75,000. Gomes tanks for a few minutes before calling.

As the dealer is spreading the fourth card, Gomes checks in the dark. It comes the {2-Hearts}. Gallo bets 85,000, again prompting a long thinking session from Gomes. Finally, he does fold, and Gallo rakes in a nice little pot.

Lisandro Gallo

Jose Miguel Espinar has the button in Seat 3.

The table folds around to the blinds, where Lisandro Gallo raises to 30,000. Gylbert Drolet makes the call, and the two men go heads up to the flop.

The dealer spreads out {4-Spades} {K-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Gallo checks, and Drolet makes a bet of 30,000. Gallo thinks for a minute before making the call.

Turn: {9-Clubs}. Again, Gallo passes and lets Drolet bet 70,000. Gallo makes the call.

River: {6-Spades}. Both men check. Lisandro Gallo turns over {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, and his ace-high is the winning hand. He stands up and makes a loud exclamation in Spanish before raking in a nice pot.

Grinding it Out

After the early fireworks, play has calmed down considerably. In fact, we are seeing very few flops over the last 15 or 20 hands. The majority of the pots are being won with a pre-flop raise or a reraise following that. It is apparent that the players have settled into their chairs and are content to feel each other out for the time being.

Updated Chip Counts

Here's the way the last five players stack up:

Alexandre Gomes - 800,000
Gylbert Drolet - 600,000
Alex Brenes - 500,000
Lisandro Gallo - 450,000

Sidney Chreem - 6th Place
Sidney Chreem - 6th Place
Lisandro Gallo has the button in Seat 4.

Under the gun, Sidney Chreem moves all in for 50,000 chips. Everyone passes to the button where Gallo looks down at {7-Spades} {7-Clubs}. He makes the call, putting Chreem at risk of elimination. He tables {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and is racing for his tournament life.

The board runs out {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} {10-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, and Chreem comes in second. He is eliminated in sixth place, and will take home $34,045 for his work over the last three days.
