Nejad Doubles Off Helppi

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Shahin Shirazi Nejad
Shahin Shirazi Nejad

Arto Ilmari Loikkanen opened with {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} from under the gun to 65,000 and got a call from Juha Helppi with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} from the hijack. Shahin Shirazi Nejad, who entered the final table as a short stack and hasn't yet been active, thought for a moment before jamming his 322,000 stack with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Loikkanen quickly folded and Helppi called but didn't seem that thrilled about doing so.

The {5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board was unable to help Helppi and Nejad gets the double-up he was talked about he needed before the final table began.

Silver Nommik Eliminated in 9th Place (€5,200)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Silver Nommik
Silver Nommik

Estonia's Silver Nommik was waiting for a spot to get his small stack in and his stack was down to 196,000 in chips.

He jammed all-in with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} from the cut-off and was called by Arunas Garunkstis from the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Nommik was a 2:1 underdog before the flop and was in a world of hurt after his opponent paired the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} needing a pair of runners for a save. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn wasn't one of them and Nommik's fate was sealed.

The Estonian was officially eliminated in ninth place for €5,200 after the {2-Hearts} completed the board on the river and the title will not stay in home soil.

Currently left in the field are five Finns, two Lithuanians and a Swede. Players are now all guaranteed a payout of at least the €6,200 slated for eighth place.

As we earlier mentioned, [Removed:174] was eliminated in seventh-place on last year's OlyBet Kings of Tallinn Main Event Final Table after losing a huge chip-leader pot with pocket fives.

He shared that he learned a lot and wasn't planning to place himself in a similar situation this year. Either to remind him or to have a laugh - or both - he is wearing a t-shirt with two giant playing cards representing pocket fives.
