Johnston Outkicks Beliauskas in Three-Way Pot

Level 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Tero Laurila made a raise to 700,000 from under the gun and Vidmantas Beliauskas called in the small blind. Mark Johnston also tossed in the required chips from the big blind and the three saw a flop of A2Q.

Beliauskas led out for 300,000 chips, which Johnston raised to 750,000. Laurila tanked for a while before folding, after which Beliauskas made the call.

Johnston tossed in another 400,000 chips on the 3 turn and Beliauskas check-called. Both players then checked on the J river, and Beliauskas tabled A8 for top pair.

Johnston played the same pair, but with A10 he had the better kicker and raked in the pot.

Level 33 : Blinds 100,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Mark Johnston raised to 500,000 from the cutoff and Tero Laurila made a three-bet to 1,500,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way before Johnston jammed all in for 8,000,000 chips.

Laurila decided it was not worth it and sent his cards to the muck, awarding the pot to Johnston who crossed eight figures as a result.

Ninh Propels to Chip Lead

Level 33 : Blinds 100,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Hiep Ninh
Hiep Ninh

Konstantinos Vatseris raised from the cutoff with Q4 to 550,000 and it folded to Hiep Ninh in the big blind who defended with A2.

The flop fell 996 and a quick check by Ninh followed. Vatseris continued with a bet of 450,000 and Ninh called to see the K on the turn.

Ninh knocked on the table to check again and Vatseris bet 1,050,000. Ninh considered all of his options, counting his stack multiple times, to ultimately call again.

The A river completed the board and Ninh checked for the third time. Vatseris wasn't ready to slow down and asked how much Ninh was playing behind before firing another bet of 2,250,000.

After about 90 seconds Ninh put the calling chips in the middle with the words "even ace-high I would've called" and his pair of aces was good to take down the big pot to propel himself in the chip lead.

Level 33 : Blinds 100,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Stephen Groom had flat-called an earlier open in the cutoff before Brian Moore made a huge three-bet to 2,600,000 on the button, around half his stack. The action folded to Groom, who back-raise shoved all in, covering the last overseas player standing.

Moore counted his chips and decided he could not fold as he put in the call for his tournament life.

"We just need to fade spades," Groom told his rail, and he did just so on the 621093 runout. The big pot was shipped Grooom's way, who crossed the eight-figure mark while leaving Moore stranded in 12th place.

Limped Pot Sees Big River Action

Level 34 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Stephen Groom limped in from the small blind and David Tous checked his option in the big blind. The pair then checked through the A7K flop as well as the 5 turn.

On the Q river, Groom bet 650,000 and Tous announced a raise to 2,700,000. Groom then three-bet shoved all in, covering the 13,800,000 stack of Tous by a hair.

Tous went deep into the tank but eventually surrendered his hand.

"Show one black card," Tero Laurila pleaded, but Groom's cards went face down into the muck as he stacked up the chip lead.
