Bogert Catches Up
Level 10
: 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Action unfolded remarkably quickly in a hand between table neighbors Cory Bogert and Mike Sloan in the final level of the night.
Bogert opened to 2,500—a hair more than a min-raise—from under the gun, and it folded around to Mike Sloan in the big blind, who opted to defend.
When the flop came down , Sloan quickly led into Bogert for 3,500. Bogert eyed Sloan's stack, then his face, and tossed in the call.
Sloan bet again on the turn, this time for 4,000. Bogert called even faster.
The river fell, and Sloan bet 7,000. Bogert immediately called once more. Sloan tabled for a flopped two pair, but Bogert showed , having bested him on the turn when he hit his queen.
