Bianchi Goes Clubbing

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Not that kind of clubbing, guys—at least, not yet anyway. He still has a final table to finish.

That said, after Christopher Audrain opened to 350,000 on the button, Paul Bianchi three-bet to 770,000 from the small blind. Michalak folded and it was back on Audrain, who made the call.

The two saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and both players checked. The {10-Clubs} turn brought the fourth clover, and Bianchi fired 625,000. Audrain made the laydown, maintaining the chip lead despite the lost pot.

Audrain Doubles Through Michalak to Take the Chip Lead

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Christopher Audrain

John Michalak raised to 275,000 from the small blind, and Christopher Audrain called in the big blind.

Michalak checked the {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop to Audrain, who bet 360,000. Michalak check-raised to 975,000, and Audrain three-bet shoved for 2.3 million. Michalak tanked for a minute, then flicked in a chip to call.

Christopher Audrain: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
John Michalak: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Audrain was ahead with top pair, but Michalak had a big draw with a flush draw, a gutshot, and an over card to Audrain's ten. Michalak was a slight favorite to win on the flop, but the {3-Clubs} turn and {q-Spades} river bricked off, leading Audrain to shout and celebrate with his rail as he took over the chip lead.

Taking Some Back from Michalak

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

There was already 1,200,000 in the pot heading to an all-diamond flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Paul Bianchi bet 430,000 from the big blind. John Michalak matched it on the button.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts}, pairing the board, and Bianchi stuck in his remaining 1,400,000. Michalak went into the tank, eventually flicking his cards into the middle.
