Frei Doubles Through Nguyen

Khoa Nguyen opened to 6,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 16,000 by Aaron Frei out of the cutoff. Action folded back to Nguyen and he called.

The flop fell and Nguyen checked. Frei made a continuation-bet of another 16,000 and Nguyen check-raised all in. Frei instantly called.

Frei's aces were ahead and in need of holding against Nguyen's open-ended straight draw. The turn came , giving him one more card to sweat. The river then fell and Frei's stack was counted out to be 70,500. Nguyen paid him off leaving himself just 1,500 behind as Frei now finds himself with a comfortable stack as play moves into the final two hours of the evening.
