Conolty Triples, Hopkins Busts Harper for Side Pot
A player in middle position opened to 700 and received a call from Terry Harper in the hijack. Lynn Hopkins was on the button and three-bet to 1,200. Kevin Conolty then announced he was all in, shoving from the small blind for his last 6,400.
The original raiser folded and Harper asked the amount before making the call. Hopkins looked at Harper's remaining stack and proceeded to put forth a raise that put him to a decision for his last 11,500 or so. Harper called.
Terry Harper:
Lynn Hopkins:
Kevin Conolty;
All three players found themselves with situations that were not unfavorable given a three-way all in. The board ran out to give Conolty a straight and the triple while Hopkins improved to a pair of jacks to top Harper's sevens and send him to the rail.
