Thompson's Top Pair Wins

A player limped in from under the gun and Barry Faecher limped in behind him. Action then folded around to the small blind, who completed and put action onto Craig Thompson in the big blind, who checked his option.

The flop came and all four players checked. The dealer brought the turn and the small blind checked. Thompson bet 500 and the under-the-gun player and Faecher folded. The small blind called, taking action heads up to the river , where both players checked to showdown.
