David Westfall Eliminated in 14th Place

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

David Westfall got it in good with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} against the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of PJ Grace but the flop would come {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to move Grace into the lead and when the turn came {J-Spades} and the river {4-Clubs}, Westfall was eliminated cruelly one short of the money.

The players after a brief celebration are now taking a 15-minute break. We'll have updated chip counts momentarily.

Jacob Menzie Eliminated in 15th Place

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Jacob Menzi
Jacob Menzi

Jacob Menzie had survived for quite some time with a short stack and when he looked down at {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} he had to be feeling good that he was going to accumulate more chips. Unfortunately for him, Nick Guagenti picked up {A-}{A-} and Menzie was eliminated in 15th place.

We are now hand-for-hand on the money bubble.

PJ Grace Doubles Through Stephen Birtcher

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

PJ Grace got the last of his chips all in on the turn with the board showing {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and was called by Steve Birtcher who had turned two pair with {Q-}{5-}. Grace, however, had flopped two pair with {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}. The river was the {9-Spades} and Grace doubled up while Birtcher moved under the 100,000 chip mark.

Jeffrey Russell Eliminated in 16th Place

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Jeff Russell
Jeff Russell

A short-stacked Jeffrey Russell got the last of his chips in good with {A-}{10-} against Nick Guagenti's {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} but an eight would hit the flop to give Guagenti the pot and send Russell to the rail.

At the other table, Todd Funderburg would double up with {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} against Scott Dehm who held {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. The board would run out {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} to give Funderburg the pot.

Shawn Cunix Eliminated in 17th Place

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Shawn Cunix
Shawn Cunix

After losing the majority of his stack to David Westfall, Shawn Cunix put his last 9,300 in the middle with {A-Spades}{7-Clubs}. He would find two callers in Steve Birtcher and Scott Dehm. Dehm would check-raise to 16,000 on the turn and get a fold from Birtcher who had made a 7,000 bet. Dehm had {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board and Cunix was drawing dead.

Michael Frazee Eliminated in 18th Place

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Mike Frazee
Mike Frazee

As told to us by the players at Table 26, Christopher Collins and Michael Frazee got it all in on a {J-}{9-}{8-} flop. Frazee was looking good with {A-}{A-} as Collins merely had {3-}{3-}. Of course most of you know how this story ends... a {3-} on the turn... and when the river was not one of the two remaining Aces in the deck, Frazee was eliminated.

Ryan Pochedly Eliminated in 19th Place

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Ryan Pochedly
Ryan Pochedly

With a flop of {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Ryan Pochedly check-called the 25,000 bet of Trevor Renner. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Pochedly checked again. Renner announced that he was all in and Pochedly tossed a stack of purple 500 chips into the middle, indicating a call. Pochedly turned over {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} but was well behind the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} that Renner had. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Pochedly was eliminated.

Renner, who was down to just 10,000 in chips earlier in the day, has now put himself in excellent position with two tables remaining.
