Eversole is One Better
Mike Eversole called his opponent on the flop and the turn and took down the pot with a pair of nines, one better than the pocket eights of his opponent.
The action started preflop, when four players saw the flop after a raise from the button. The flop came 
and the action checked to the preflop raiser. He bet 2,000 and got two callers.
The turn was the 
and the action checked to the raiser again. He bet 3,000. The other player in folded and the action fell to Eversole. He pulled out 3,000 chips and then in a manner similar to a Bond villian stroking his cat, Eversole slid his fingers up, then down his remaining stack, contemplating his next move. He settled on a call.

and both players checked. Eversole won the pot with 
and just beat the pocket eights of the preflop raiser.
