Bill Gerding just got two big hands in a row, and on the second he busted Jason Matthews.
On the first hand, Zac Campbell opened to 800 in middle position, and two players called before Gerding made it 2,400 from the small blind. Campbell was the lone caller and the two were heads up to the flop.
The flop was and Gerding quickly bet 4,000. Campbell called.
The turn was the and Gerding took a beat before acting. He bet 6,000 and Campbell folded. Gerding slapped two kings on the table.
"That card scared me," he said.

When the board paired with the on the turn, Gerding went all in for about 45,000. Matthews went into the tank. He kept talking to Gerding, trying to get some kind of read.
"I flopped two pair," he said.
"We you obviously didn't have the five," replied Gerding.
"You can only have an overpair, do you have an overpair?" asked Matthews.
Gerding didn't respond.
"Show me if I fold?" Matthews asked.
Again, Gerding offered no response.
"Okay," Matthews said, tossing in a call.
Indeed Gerding had an over pair, two queens and Matthews was looking for help, holding . It didn't come, instead the river was the and that sent Matthews to the rail.
