Bowen Doubles Huge

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We walked up to a board of {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Shawn Bowen was heads up with Keven Stammen. Bowen check-called a bet of 42,000 and the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn. Bowen again check-called, this time for 83,000. After the {3-Diamonds} fell on the river and another check from Bowen, Stammen announced "all in", and was met with an immediate call from Bowen for his final 280,000.

Bowen tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and his two pair was good, as Stammen mucked and was left decimated with only 68,000 in chips remaining. The huge double gives Bowen over 900,000 in chips.

George Lusby Eliminated in 16th Place ($2,863)

Keven Stammen opened to 26,000 from the button and George Lusby moved all in from the small blind for around 60,000 total. Stammen made the call and rolled over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Lusby needed to find a match for his ace, tabling {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} however and Lusby was gone. Just like that, Stammen has chipped back up to a nice stack.

Thomas Schaffer eliminated in 17th Place ($2,863)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Thomas Schaffer opened to 25,000 from middle position and Jared Palmer moved all in from the button for 59,500 total. Schaffer called and tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Palmer showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and the board completed {9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Palmer doubled and left Schaffer with just 8,000 and he was eliminated on the very next hand.

Michael Hahn was all in for just a couple of big blinds and Ken Ware and Ryan Parker were in for 20,000 each and checked it all the way down on a board that completed {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Parker showed {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, which was better than Ware's {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Hahn's {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Stammen Going the Wrong Way

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

We picked up the action with a board of {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and over 100,000 in the middle. Keven Stammen bet 43,000 and Shawn Bowen made the call. The river was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked. Bowen showed {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the baby flush and Stammen looked frustrated as he showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Stammen's huge flop couldn't hold and his once healthy stack has been significantly depleted here recently.

Guagenti Steps In It

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

Keven Stammen opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and Nick Guagenti moved all in for around 160,000 from the small blind. TM Williams also moved all in from the big blind for a ton and Stammen folded jacks face up.

Williams: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Guagenti: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop gave Guagenti some hope, but neither the {j-Hearts} turn or {k-Diamonds} river helped and he was sent to the rail in 19th place.
