Mini Run For Moneymaker, Wentz Hits the Rail

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Chris Moneymaker is sitting a little under 50,000 chips after eliminating Alan Wentz.

The action started when a player limped and Wentz shoved his remaining 3,600 in front of Moneymaker. Moneymaker called and Paul Cordrey called behind him. The remaining players folded. This left Moneymaker and Cordrey heads up to the flop with Wentz all in.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {8-Spades} and Moneymaker bet 3,000. Cordrey called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Moneymaker led again, this time for 7,000. Cordrey folded.

"You're good sir," Moneymaker said to Wentz.

"I can't be!" Wentz replied, turning over {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

He was correct, Moneymaker had {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for ace high, which was good enough to win the main pot and eliminate Wentz.
