Don't Miss the HPO Championship June 23-26 at M Resort in Las Vegas
The Hollywood Poker Open $2,500 Championship Event will take place June 23-26, 2016. That's right in the heat of summer out when the entire poker world takes to Sin City surrounding the World Series of Poker. But as we've come to know in the past few years, there are several premier non-WSOP events, and the HPO Championship Event is without a doubt one of them.
The event will feature two starting flights and a big field that has averaged nearly 700 players over the first three editions with an average first-place prize of $340,000. If that's not a juicy tournament to get excited about, then we're not sure what is. It comes with an affordable, yet prize-pool-juicing buy-in of $2,500 and takes place at the beautiful M Resort.
One thing that makes the HPO Championship Event so great is the large amount of satellite qualifiers and promotional winners coming from Hollywood Casino venues all over the US. Plus, there will be a handful of on-site satellite tournaments awarding more seats to the event should you be looking to get in for a fraction of the cost.
You can view those satellites, along with the entire HPO Championship Event schedule, by clicking here.
This will once again be a can't-miss tournament during the summer, and PokerNews will be there for all four days to provide coverage.
