Snook Makes One Quit
Level 3
: 100/200, 0 ante
We found a player with 6,300 in front of him in middle position preflop, and Jerry Snook was thinking it over with a stack of about 5,000 more on the button.
"F*** it," he said, putting his stack in.
The blinds both folded, and the raiser said something about Snook putting on an act.
"I'm sure you've got me," he said, calling with and then seeing Snook show . "Oh, I've got you."
Chris Moneymaker said he folded , and the flop came , leaving Snook with two outs. He found one of those outs on the turn, and the player with ace-king bricked the river. He pounded the table forcefully and cursed, heading out of the room despite the fact that he still had about 1,500 left.
"One for the good guys," Snook said as he dragged the pot.
