Jones Busts Pupillo

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante
Daniel Jones
Daniel Jones

After a limp from an early position player, Daniel Jones raised to 2,100 from the hijack. Nick Pupillo called from the button, as did the player in the small blind and the limper.

The flop was {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Jones continued for 5,000 after a check. Pupillo moved all in and Jones made the call after two folds.

Jones: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Pupillo: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Pupillo would need to fade diamonds and overs to stay alive, but Jones didn't wait long as the {a-Hearts} fell on the turn and the {10-Diamonds} came on the river for the overkill and ouster of Pupillo.

Cunix Crushing

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante
Shawn Cunix
Shawn Cunix

Shawn Cunix raised to 1,500 from the cutoff and the players on the button and in the big blind each made the call. The flop was {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and, after a check, Cunix continued for 3,000. Only the player on the button made the call and the {10-Hearts} came on the turn. Cunix check-raised all in after a bet of 5,300 and his opponent made the call.

Cunix: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Opponent: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts} river was a blank and Cunix continues to chip up.

Fortuitous River Doubles Ryan

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Terry Ryan raised to 1,200 from middle position and Christopher Lee made the call from the small blind. The flop was {2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Lee check-called a bet of 2,000 from Ryan. The {k-Clubs} turn brought another check-call, this time for 3,500. The river was the {10-Spades} and Lee again checked.

Ryan moved all in for 8,275 and Lee quickly made the call. Lee's {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} could not fade Ryan's kicker however as his {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} was good for the full house and the win.

Palmer Takes One

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Jared Palmer opened to 1,050 from middle position and was called from right behind. A second opponent three-bet to 3,200 and just Palmer and the player behind made the call. The flop was {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Palmer led for 2,250. Just the three-bettor called and the turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Palmer led again for 4,550 and his opponent thought for a moment, but eventually folded.

Palmer said he had flopped a set of sevens and was just hoping that his opponent wasn't slow-playing pocket aces.
