Geilich Leads as GUKPT London Main Event Reaches Final Day
The largest GUKPT Main Event in history is down to its final day with 33 players still in contention for the GUKPT London title and over £185,000 in prize money that comes with it.
After late registrations were taken into account, the final figure of 702 entries was the largest in the history of the GUKPT, smashing the previous best of 607 set just five months ago.
Leading the 33 survivors is a familiar face in the world of British poker, with Ludovic Geilich bagging 918,000.
Geilich's last cash on the GUKPT was a second-place finish in Edinburgh in September last year for £42,060, and he will be hoping to go one further when play resumes tomorrow.
Other big stacks include Timothy Chung (883,000), Matthew Bonham (874,000) and Lewis Spencer (870,000) who are the only other three players over 800,000.
