After Vikrum Mehta opened 24,000 from the cutoff, Christopher Brammer three-bet before Mehta moved all in. Brammer quickly called and it was a bit of a cooler for Mehta.

The board ran out clean for Brammer in the end, as it came to give Brammer the essential double and sending Mehta to the rail in 14th for £3,660.

First place is to be paid £78,260 as well as the title of GUKPT Reading champion. Play will resume at 12:00 p.m. local time with blinds at 600/1200 with a 1200 big bling ante. There will be breaks every two levels and a 40-minute break after the fourth level of the day.
