Igor Still on the Rise

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

We have seen Igor Kurganov and and Valdimir Troyanovskiy rumble in quite a few small pots over on their table. Recently Kurganov got the better of Troyanovskiy, adding to his growing stack.

The action started with Kurganov opening the cut off to 25,000. Troyanovskiy was on the button and three-bet to 60,000 here. The blinds were out of the way and it was back on Kurganov, who four-bet to 165,000. Troyanovskiy looked like he was keen to put in another bet, but ended up simply making the call.

On the {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop,Kurganov led for 130,000 and with a slight smirk, Troyanovskiy flicked out the call. The {2-Hearts} turn would see both players check, while the {a-Clubs} river would kick Kurganov back into gear as he bet 375,000. It didn't take Troyanovskiy long to fold here and Kurganov added to his stack which is around 2.3 million - remembering that he did opt to rebuy earlier.
