It was a great day for Adams. He took the lead early on in the first heat. Although he had some trouble finishing it off, he took it down after a couple of all-ins.
The second heat quickly went his way. In the final hand, he flopped two pair with his king-three and got it all-in against Zhang's third pair and a flush draw. Zhang couldn't get there and Adams took a 2-0 lead.
In the final match, Adams fell behind a little bit, after a nice river bluff from Zhang. But eventually he was able to complete the sweep.
The Emperors are now in fourth with 110 points, just three points behind the Hong Kong Stars and the London Royals. They surpass the Paris Aviators by two points, but both the Royals and the Aviators have to play later on today.
The next match, which will start in about 30-minutes time, will be between Moscow Wolverines' Anatoly Filatov and Paris Aviators' George Danzer.
