Artur Martirosian Eliminated in 5th Place ($73,501)

Level 30 : 40,000/80,000, 12,000 ante

Fedor Holz opened to 168,000 from the button and Artur Martirosian shoved 1,563,282 into the middle. Holz instantly called, putting the Russian at risk.

Artur Martirosian: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Fedor Holz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Martirosian was in rough shape and the {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was of no help. A {6-Hearts} turn card brought some chop outs for Martirosian but the {j-Diamonds} river did nothing for him and he was eliminated by the ace-queen of Holz.

Holz Takes the Lead

Level 29 : 35,000/70,000, 10,000 ante

Fedor Holz opened from under the gun to 147,000 and Ivan "zufo16" Zufic shoved from the small blind. Holz snap-called for less, putting in his 1,450,984.

Fedor Holz: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Ivan "zufo16" Zufic: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Holz was already in a dominating position and when the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} board hit it was all but done. A {6-Spades} sealed the deal for Holz who then had Zufic drawing dead to the {10-Diamonds} river for a complete double.

Darren Elias Eliminated in 6th Place ($54,907)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 9,000 ante

Darren Elias opened to 126,000 from the cutoff and directly on his left was Joao Vieira who three-bet to 315,000. Elias shoved for a total of 1,224,452 and Vieira snapped, putting Elias at risk.

Darren Elias: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Joao Vieira: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Elias was a sure favorite to take down this pot and become the new chip leader. A {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop hit Vieira with a pair of ladies but Elias was still well in front with his aces.

An {8-Clubs} turn left Vieira with one last chance for romance, needing an unlikely lady to send Elias to the rail. The {q-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, hitting Vieira in the face with the deck to send Elias out the door in sixth on what was the sickest beat of the day.

Juan Pardo Dominguez Eliminated in 7th Place ($41,583)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 9,000 ante

A raise to 120,000 from Joao Vieira in middle position started the hand and Juan Pardo Dominguez then three-bet to 330,000 in the cutoff. Vieira raised and Dominguez called all in, totaling 194,322.

Juan Pardo Dominguez: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Joao Vieira: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop rolled out {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Dominguez failed to his a thing. A {2-Hearts} turn left Dominguez in need of some last card magic but the {10-Spades} at last was not it. Vieira scooped with his johnnies and Dominguez was eliminated in seveneth.
