David Yan

Blinds 60,000/120,000

David Yan opened to 636,000 from the cutoff and Niklas Astedt called in the small blind. The {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop hit the table and Astedt put Yan all-in. A call came from Yan for his 459,320 stack and they turned over the cards.

David Yan: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

A big hand had Astedt sitting on top of Yan who was drawing to runner-runner. The {9-Diamonds} turn brought a straight draw for Yan but a {4-Diamonds} river failed to hit it and he was eliminated by the leader.

Sami Kelopuro Eliminated in 6th Place ($259,841)

Blinds 50,000/100,000

Shawn Daniels made it 224,000 to go from under the gun and Sami Kelopuro shipped 1,550,038 into the middle. Daniels called and the two turned over their hands with Kelopuro at risk.

Sami Kelopuro: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Shawn Daniels: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the ladies of Daniels were well in front of Kelopuro who needed some help. A {j-Clubs} turn brought some more outs for Kelopuro but the {2-Hearts} river failed to improve his hand, dropping him from the field in sixth place.

Blinds 50,000/100,000

Niklas Astedt raised to 220,000 from the button and Sam Greenwood shoved his 1,501,047 stack into the middle from the small blind. Astedt called and the two tabled their hands with Greenwood at risk.

Sam Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Niklas Astedt: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop spread out on the virtual felt and the sixes of the leader were still standing strong. A {k-Diamonds} turn left Greenwood with one last chance for romance but the {5-Hearts} river was not it and he was sent packing, shipping another monster pot to Astedt.

Koon and Astedt Keep Locking Horns

Blinds 40,000/80,000

Table captain Niklas Astedt opened to 176,000 and Jason Koon jumped in from the cutoff. Everyone else folded and the action-packed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop landed on the board.

Action checked to Koon, he bet 176,000 and Astedt check-called. The {j-Diamonds} turn saw both players check through to the {8-Clubs} river where Koon bet 480,000.

Astedt check-called and Koon tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the nut flush. It was not enough though, when Astedt turned over {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a boat to take down the large pot.
