A total of 117 duos have taken a seat to make a run at qualifying for Sunday's World Championship, and among them are popular father/son pairs Nels and Tyler Peterson and Bob and Steve Schreiner. Both teams can be seen in matching t-shirts in the Grand Ballroom at Golden Nugget.
Nels and Bob made a deep run to second place last year, narrowly missing out on the belts to Mike Uzi and Terry Jaglarsky. They've returned with new teams and they're looking for revenge.

Welcome to the Tag Team Championship at Free Poker Network's $100,000 World Championship at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Cards go in the air at 4 p.m. for this unique team event.
The tournament is the fifth and final qualifier before Sunday's $100,000 World Championship Main Event, where one player will walk away with $25,000. There is no direct buy-in, so tonight's Tag Team bout is the late opportunity for players to gain entry for the flagship event.
Pairs that make tonight's final table will win $200 and punch their ticket to Sunday's Main Event, while the winning team will take home $1,500 and the Tag Team Championship belts.
Entry is $200 per team, and duos will start with 10,000 in chips. Levels are 20 minutes long and registration is available through Level 6.
