Junker Leads the Field into Day 2 of PokerStars Eureka Hamburg Main Event
After three action-packed days of poker, we are onto Day 2 of the PokerStars Eureka Hamburg Main Event at Casino Schenefeld.
The event attracted a total of 615 entrants, creating an impressive prize pool of €584,250. Only 138 players remain standing for Day 2, with 87 places paid - first place will see the champion take home the trophy and the sum of €110,070, while a minimum cash is good for €1,750. Players who reach the final table will achieve a minimum payout of €10,610.
Axel Junker of Germany leads the way after putting on a dominating performance on stream in Day 1b (421,500), and he is closely followed by his fellow countrymen Timo Scarcella (392,000) and Julian Paulsen (370,500).

Other players who remain in the mix include Marcin Puczylowski (203,500) of Poland, Nicola Karl (191,500) of Germany and Swiss player Yves Thalmann (173,000).
A total of 18 PokerStars Qualifiers or Power Path Silver Pass winners progressed to Day 2, the best placed being Philipp Ruthard (269,000), while two World Series of Poker bracelet winners remain in the field in the form of Ermanno Di Nicola (217,500) and Tommy Nguyen (140,000).
The players are returning to 60-minute levels from now on at Level 14, with blinds of 1,500/3,000 and a 3,000 big blind ante. The length of Day 2 has not yet been confirmed but it is believed a minimum of ten levels will be played.
A stream of the Day 2 action will be shown on a 30-minute delay on PokerStars Team Pro Felix Schneiders' Twitch Channel (xflixx) from 4:30 p.m. local time, and a link will be available here as soon as it is live.
Day 3, the final day, kicks off at 3:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, July 7.
