Day 1b of Pokerstars Eureka Hamburg Main Event Awaits
After a busy day of poker yesterday, Day 1b of the €1,100 Main Event at PokerStars Eureka Hamburg is due to kick off today, Thursday 4 July 2024, at 4:00 p.m. local time at Casino Schenefeld, Hamburg.
Day 1a is already in the books and attracted a total of 166 entrants, with 40 players bagging and tagging for Day 2. With a prize pool of €157,700 already generated, the event looks primed to be a potential record-breaker.
Kent Roed of Norway emerged as the chip leader, amassing an impressive stack of 279,500. Roed was closely followed by Frenchman Gregory Kehren (269,500) and Andrzej Powalka (252,000) of Poland.

Nine PokerStars qualifiers booked their place in Day 2 yesterday, with Boris Progner best placed amongst them on 189,000.
PokerStars Team Pro Felix "xflixx" Schneiders is expected to hop in the Main Event today, while it is also believed Bundesliga and DFB Pokal winner Ivan Klasnic, who lifted those trophies with Werder Bremen and started out his career at Hamburg side FC St.Pauli, will be at the felt.
Players will start with 30,000 chips at blind level 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante, with the event featuring 40-minute levels. Play will continue until the end of Level 13. Each flight permits a single reentry.
The final Day 1, Day 1c, takes place on Friday 5 July at 4:00 p.m. local time. The tournaments then moves towards a conclusion with Day 2 on Saturday 6 July at 3:00 p.m., with the final day beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday July 7. Days 2-3 will feature 60-minute levels.
