Jackpot For Juanda

John Juanda just won the jackpot after almost tripling up, and knocking out Per Ummer in the progress. The hand started quite casually as Ummer raised, Juanda called on the button and German Simon Dansker did so as well from the big blind.

The flop brought and Dansker checked to Ummer who bet 19,500. Juanda put in a raise from the button to around 65,000 after which Dansker moved all in from the small blind. Dansker had both players covered but Ummer did not hesitate one second before committing his 140,000-chip stack.

With Ummer all in Juanda had an even bigger decision as he was risking his tournament life against two players in case he decided to play. About 20 seconds later Juanda decided to call and a three-way showdown was upon us.

The dealer put out the on the turn and Juanda hit the nut flush. Negreanu pointed out that Ummer was drawing dead but Dansker still had two outs left to bust both players, the three and the eight of diamonds. The river brought the though and Juanda raked in a massive pot. Ummer was knocked out and Dansker was left behind with little chips.
