Nut Flush for Negreanu

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu has had a bit of success this year, making two final tables at the inaugural World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific, including winning the Main Event there for A$1,038,825.

On this hand, he battled with fellow Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano and made a flush on the river to scoop a very nice pot early.

On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop, Pagano fired 400 before Negreanu raised to 1,200. The Italian made the call, then the dealer placed the {4-Diamonds} out on the turn. Here, both players checked.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs}, completing the flush draw present on the flop, but also pairing the board. Pagano tossed out a bet of 1,800, then Negreanu fired in a raise to 5,000. Pagano took a minute or two, then made the call.

Negreanu tabled the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nut flush, and Pagano mucked his hand.
