Kitai's Kicker Slightly Better Than Gregg's

Tony Gregg raised to 9,000 from the hijack seat to open up the action on this hand. Davidi Kitai, winner of the Season 8 European Poker Tour Berlin Main Event, called on the button, and everyone else folded.

The flop was paired with two big diamonds — {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Gregg led for 7,500, and Kitai called in position.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, and Gregg fired 20,000. Kitai made another call to see the {5-Hearts} land on the river. Gregg checked, and Kitai checked behind.

Gregg showed the {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} for two pair, aces and queens, with a jack kicker. Kitai had him slightly pipped with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for the same two pair, but holding a king kicker.
