Seth Scares Off Katchalov

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action started with Eugene Katchalov raising to 5,000 from middle position. Anirudh Seth made the call from the blinds and the pair watched the flop come down {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Seth checked before Katchalov threw out a continuation bet of 6,000. Seth call and checked once more when the delaer produced the {10-Clubs} on the turn.

Katchalov reached for his chips and bet out another 12,000 in chips. Seth thought about his decision for a minute before raising it up to 31,600. Katchalov called moments later.

The {a-Diamonds} on the river prompted Seth to move in almost instanty. The bet totalled 160,000 which had Katchalov well covered. The Ukrainian Team Pro went into the tank for several minutes, noticeably agonising over his decision.

He finally mucked his hand and Seth was awarded the pot.

“I changed my mind like 20 times,” joked Katchalov after the hand, suggesting he was on the verge of calling on numerous occasions.
