Goryachev Doubles Through Billard

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Francois Billard opened for 210,000 under the gun and action folded to Viacheslav Goryachev in the cutoff. Goryachev shoved for 850,000 and Simon Deadman inquired a count. He eventually folded and so did both blinds. Billard made the call.

Viacheslav Goryachev: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Francois Billard: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop heavily favored Goryachev, but Billard (and Schemion) kept some hope after the {Q-Spades} hit the turn. The river as a face card but not the right one for the Frenchman; {J-Diamonds}.

Schemion Triples

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Andrey Zaichenko opened for 200,000 from the cutoff and, after some consideration, Ole Schemion shoved all in from the button for 285,000. Laurynas Levinskas called from the big blind, Zaichenko called for 85,000 more as well.

Both players checked the entire board of {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}. "Club anyone?" asked an afraid Schemion. "I have an eight" said Levinskas while showing {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Schemion tabled {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for the flopped straight and Zaichenko mucked his {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

"Back to business guys!" laughed Schemion.

Joao Vieira Eliminated in 7th Place (€103,870)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Joao Vieira - 7th Place
Joao Vieira - 7th Place

The action started with Francois Billard raising to 160,000 from under the gun. Andrey Zaichenko then bumped it up to 400,000 from the button. Joao Vieira was in the big blind and was all in for his remaining 60,000 in chips. Billard then made the call before the dealer spread out the {2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The two live players then checked before doing the same after the {a-Hearts} dropped on the turn. With the {j-Hearts} completing the board, Billard bet out 300,000 and was snap called.

Zaichenko rolled over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for a pair of aces and ended up chopping the main pot with Billard who tabled {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the same hand.

Vieira still hadn’t looked at his hand. He squeezed the {9-Spades} first and then allowed Ole Schemion to his left to peal his other card. It was the {5-Diamonds} which was no help to Vieira who took his elimination in high spirits as he made his way to the pay out desk to collect his six figure sum.
