Peters Keeps Climbing

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Viacheslav Goryachev raised before the flop to 52,000 and both blinds, David Peters and Sylvain Loosli, called.

The flop brought out {K-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and all three players checked.

On the turn the {2-Clubs} popped up and Peters bet 72,000, both Loosli and Goryachev called.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and again the action was checked by all three players. Peters showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for two pair and he raked in this pot.

Ludovic Geilich Eliminated in 13th Place (€45,600)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Marc Etienne McLaughlin opened for 52,000 under the gun and his next door neighbor David Peters made the call. Action folded to Ludovic Geilich who called from the big blind after contemplating what to do for a little bit.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Geilich moved all in for 269,000. McLaughlin asked for a count, thought about it for a little bit, but folded. Peters called right away.

Ludovic Geilich: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
David Peters: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank and the {Q-Hearts} couldn't save Geilich either. Geilich made his flush but that same card gave Peters the full house.

Simon Higgins Eliminated in 14th Place (€41,100)

Simon Higgins

Daniel Ghionoiu opened the hand with a raise to 48,000 from the hijack. Simon Higgins on the button made the call. Big blind Charles Carrel squeezed to 160,000 and Ghionoiu made the call.

Higgins now moved all in foor 453,000 and Carrel asked for a count, something the dealer mistakenly heard as call. When she did give Carrel the count, and the Brit had informed himself how much Ghionoiu had (1.3 million to start the hand), he moved all in. Ghionoiu folded right away, later claiming to have had.

Simon Higgins: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Charles Carrel: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Higgins left in 13th place, taking home €41,100 for the effort.

Carrel Gives Up, Luca Chips Up

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

We picked up the action when the flop showed {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} and Nick Petrangelo checked to Ivan Luca who bet 85,000. Charles Carrel called from the button and Petrangelo folded his cards.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and Luca check-called 200,000.

On the river the {3-Hearts} hit and Luca checked again right away. Carrel gave it some thought, but eventually he checked behind.

Carrel was ready to muck his cards, Luca showed {A-Spades}{7-Spades} for ace high, and Carrel nodded as he threw his cards to the muck.

Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

Davidi Kitai just moved all in before the flop and David Peters proceeded to move all in as well to create the following showdown.

Kitai: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Peters: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and while Kitai took the lead on the flop it was Peters who rivered the better hand. After counting down the stacks Kitai was left with 33,000 chips, and on the very next hand he called all in from the big blind when Igor Yaroshevskyy moved all in.

Kitai: {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Yaroshevskyy: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Kitai hit the rail in 15th place.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Sardor Gaziev
Sardor Gaziev

Right after doubling Simon Higgins with ace-king, Ivan Luca opened for 44,000 from middle position. His neighbor Sardor Gaziev three-bet to 108,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Luca who pushed all in. Gaziev thought for some time before calling.

Ivan Luca: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Sardor Gaziev: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The window card was the {A-Spades} and Gaziev said "As usual" while getting up from the table. The entire board came {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{J-Spades} and Gaziev moved his 834,000 stack one position to the right. Luca with about 850,000, had his opponent just slightly covered and now plays one of the bigger stacks in the tournament.
