Raffaele Sorrentino raised to 40,000 from early position and found calls from Sebastian Pauli in the cutoff, Simon Deadman on the button, and Artur Koren in the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and all four players checked to see the {10-Spades} on the turn. Koren and Sorrentino checked over to Pauli who fired 120,000. Deadman went into the tank on the button for quite some time before announced a raise all in for 462,000. Koren and Sorrentino quickly folded and Pauli instantly announced a call.

Pauli: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Deadman: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Pauli led with his trip kings while Deadman was left hunting for a club that did not pair the board on the river. The dealer burned and produced the {10-Clubs} on the river, giving Deadman a flush but filling Pauli up. Deadman became the first casualty of the day, taking home £22,500 in prize money.

With this victory, Pauli boosted his stack up to 3.4 million and was the first player to eclipse the three-million chip mark.
