Kitai Shown Big Bluff
The final board was and Davidi Kitai bet 12,500 into a pot of around 15,000.
Amir Mozaffarian responded with a shove for close to 40,000 and Kitai started to stare him down and fire some questions.
“Did you receive the flush? Is it a bluff?” Kitai asked, and finally, “Show if I fold?”
A few minutes ticked by while Kitai went through what his opponent could have. In the end Kitai did make the fold and asked to be shown a bluff. Mozaffarian did indeed turn over the and Kitai was kicking himself, but not for folding what the other players thought he had.
“I had queen high. “ Kitai said to laughter from the table. “Almost did it. Best queen high possible.”
Kitai has a history of making some spectacular hero calls, but in this case he just couldn’t pull the trigger.
