Frizyak Furious, Out
We arrived at the table to see an angry Sergey Frizyak on his feet loudly insisting that his opponent’s cards were dead and that he should be awarded the pot. The floor was called and the dealer explained what had happened.
Berthold Winz opened the action for 13,000 and Frizyak had moved all in. The dealer had thought she had heard Winz say, “Fold.” and turn his cards face up to show what he was folding which was . The dealer had then put his cards on top of the muck pile but they were now back in front of him having been easily retrievable.
Winz said, “I said clearly call.” The rest of the table agreed they too heard call. Frizayak was insisting the cards were in the muck and therefore dead. To emphasise his point he grabbed the cards and put them face down in the muck again. The floor retrieved them once more and ruled that it was an honest mistake by the dealer and the cards were live. “Then the dealer is the problem.” Frizyak spat.
The ruling had been made, Frizyak was at risk with , and the cards ran out . Frizyak stormed off.
