A Couple of Pots With Metaal
From one of our colleagues we heard a hand between Rossiter and Metaal. Jeff Rossiter opened the cutoff, and Metaal three bet to 4,200. Rossiter made it 9,500 and Metaal called in position. The flop made Rossiter bet 6,300, and Metaal called. The fell on the turn, and Rossiter check-folded to Metaal's 12,000 bet.
Govert Metaal told us with a big smile that he not much later limped in with aces under the gun. Mark Teltscher raised to 2,200, Jeff Rossiter called, and Giuseppe Pantaleo who just sat down made it 8,400. Metaal played dumb, and said he wanted to raise to 12,300, but was forced to make it 14,600. Teltscher and Rossiter folded, but Pantaleo shoved all in. Metaal made the call, and beat Pantaleo's nines.
Just now we saw a hand between Teltscher and Metaal. With on the table, the dealer thought Teltscher had checked, but he had said "I need to check", and eventually bet out 2,600. Metaal thought for a bit, and Teltscher said "One of my cards is a heart", "I also" answered Metaal. "And your other one? A king?" asked Metaal, but he got no reply and called anyway.
The fell on the turn and Teltscher checked. Metaal checked behind, and both had a blush on their face when they had to admit they didn't have a heart. for Teltscher, for Metaal.
Metaal, who's on his second bullet, plays around 90,000.
