It took just over four hours on Day 2 to decide a winner in EPT Online 12: $1,050 NLHE [6-Max], and German player Fabian "!$eveeeeeeen!" Gumz took down the top prize of more than $100,000 in prizes and bounties, and he even did it with a seven in his hand on the final deal.

Gumz made it through the 733 player field to bag a middle stack of just under 2 million chips at the end of Day 1 but turned it on for the final day. He collected more in bounties ($54,336) than the first place prize ($53,006). Together, the $107,343 would mark his third-best live cash, after $353,380 for 2nd in 2019/2020 WPT Rock & Roll Poker Open and $157,565 for 8th in $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em "Millionaire Maker" at the 2019 WSOP.

Action of the Tournament

Day 1 of EPT Online 12: $1,050 NLHE [6-Max] kicked off at 1:05 eastern time yesterday, and after nearly five hours of late registration a total of 733 entries swelled the prize pool to $733,000. Ninety-five players were slated to share in that prize pool, and it only took about 90 minutes after registration closed for them to hit the money.

Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow Ended in 10th Place for More Than $8K Total

When Day 1 came to a close, there were just 44 players still in contention for the win. Among those were two PokerStars representatives, Team Online member Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis and ambassador Kalidou "KalidouSow" Sow. Veldhuis couldn't get anything going on Day 2 and ended up in 40th for a combined score of just under $4k, but Sow made it all the way to tenth, despite having connection issues and sitting out during the final three tables. Sow banked more than $8K in prizes and bounties.

They hit the seven-handed final table after about three hours of play when Ivan "zufo16" Zufic bubbled in 8th place for more than $14K in bounties and prizes. The final table went very quickly, going from seven to one in under three-quarters of an hour. Four-handed took the longest to finish, playing for about 20 minutes before "kennyct31" started a rush by busting in 4th to Gumz' flopped straight.

After that, Gumz took out "rolic_ro" and Jasper "AppelKruimel" Wetemans in short order to take down the top prize. "rolic_ro" won more than $40K total, while Wetemans got more than $58K total for the consolation prize.
