Larsen Bluffs Grafton on River
Sam Grafton kicked off the action with a raise to 1,100 from the hijack and Birger Larsen called in the cutoff.
The flop came 8♦Q♦3♥ and Grafton made a continuation bet of 1,100, which Larsen called. Grafton fired again on the 5♥ turn, betting 3,500. Larsen called again to take the hand to the river.
On the 5♦ river, Grafton checked to Larsen, who placed out a bet of 8,500. Grafton thought for a moment, peeled his cards, scratched his face, checked his cards again, played with his chips, looked once more at his cards, then shrugged and folded, showing the 8♥.
"Nice hand," said Grafton. But Larsen commented that he didn't have much. Players prodded at Larsen to show one card in return, so he flipped over the A♥, then decided to show both and revealed the 10♦ to show that he was bluffing.
