Slater Calls the Cards
The pot had grown to around 30,000 with two players looking at a board of 3♣4♣6♠8♠.
Malte Redschlag, who was under the gun, checked the action to Nathan Slater, in the hijack. Slater moved all in for 29,200 and Redschlah went deep into the tank.
Slater, who was the at-risk player, repeatedly announced to the table that he knew Redschlag had pocket tens and should make the call. Eventually, a neutral player at the table called the clock on Redschlag, prompting him to commit his chips.
Nathan Slater: K♦K♠
Malte Redschlag: 10♣10♥
Upon seeing he'd called Redschlag's cards correctly, Slater wasn't shy in announcing to the room how good he was at the game.
The A♣ river saw Slater hold and he claimed his healthy double up. Redschlag was left with just 5,000 behind the line and could be seen making his way to the rail only a few hands later.
