Camosci Calls O'Dwyer's River Bluff to Double Up
It may have been a quiet start in terms of number of entries, but that didn't stop the few high rollers at the tables from ramping up the action early on as Steve O'Dwyer and Enrico Camosci became locked in a postflop battle that would ultimately lead to a double up.
O'Dwyer open-raised to 2,500 from the button and Camosci called in the big blind.
The flop came 5♥J♦8♣ and Camosci checked. O'Dwyer made a pot sized bet of 7,500 and Camosci responded with a check-raise to 16,000. O'Dwyer then reraised to 30,500 and Camosci called.
The turn was the 5♣ and Camosci led out with a small bet of 7,500, which O'Dwyer called.
On the 3♥ river, Camosci led out again for 10,000 and O'Dwyer shoved his stack in the middle. Camosci went into the tank, his head rested on his arms as he thought through the hand. He eventually made the call for 59,000 and the cards were revealed.
O'Dwyer had K♣2♣ for a missed flush draw that he'd turned into a bluff. Camosci turned over J♥8♦ for two pair, jacks and eights to win the pot and double up his stack, leaving O'Dwyer short.
