Jaesung Lee opened 1,700, and Georgi Sandev called in the hijack before Natalia Samsonova three-bet to 3,300 from the big blind. Both Lee and Sandev made the call.

The J74 flop hit the felt, and Samsonova flung a bet of 7,000 across the line. Lee called, and Sandev mucked.

The J paired the board on the turn, and Samsonova slowed down with a check. Lee fired 11,000 across the line, and Samsonova called.

The K river was checked by both players, and Samsonova rolled over her AA before Lee pushed his cards face down toward the dealer.

Zoufri Makes Big River Shove

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Following an open raise to 1,300 from under the gun, Abdelhakim Zoufri called, as did the player in the small blind. Manuel Bueno Fernandez then three-bet to 5,500 from the big blind and Zoufri was the only player to call.

The flop came Q83. Fernandez made a continuation bet of 5,500 and Zoufri made the call. The turn was the 8 and both players checked.

The river came the 3. Fernandez checked and Zoufri bet big for 25,000, a little more than the pot and a little less than his full stack. Fernandez folded his hand and Zoufri claimed the pot.

With about 5,000 in the middle on the AK5 flop, Ruoquin Cai checked to Jon Kyte who bet 1,000. Cai jammed for 12,700, and Kyte didn't take long as he shrugged and made the call.

Ruoqin Cai: 52
Jon Kyte: A7

Kyte had top pair but needed to dodge as Cai had a pair and a flush draw. The 4 turn gave Cai a few extra outs as he picked up a gutshot straight draw, but the board pairing 4 wasn't one of them.

Allan Mello
Allan Mello

Allan Mello opened 1,200 in early position, and Marco Poccia three-bet 2,900 next to act. The action folded back around to Mello as he jammed for about 7,500. Poccia instantly called, and both hands were tabled.

Allan Mello: AQ
Marco Poccia: QQ

The 753 flop gave Mello some hope with a backdoor flush draw but the Q turn, and A river improved Poccia to a set of queens to eliminate Mello from the tournament.

France is poker crazy and has produced some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Bertrand Grospellier and Antoine Saout, so it has been quite the surprise to see the "tricolore" omitted from the PokerStars Team Pro roster over the last few years.

However, at the 2024 European Poker Tour stop in Paris, PokerStars' search for the face for their French expansion finally ended with the latest addition to the team.
